Passports& Visa
Documents to Bring with You to the South Africa Airport
In order to board your plane and go through border checks in South Africa, you will need to carry with you a series of documents as you travel. Most importantly, you will need to provide the South African border control officers with:
- The South African visa. All travelers must show a copy of their travel permit once they reach South Africa. You will receive your electronic visa for South Africa via email once it’s granted. A printed copy must be shown to the South African authorities once you enter the country.
- The passport. Your passport is uniquely linked to your South African visa. This means that in order to travel to South Africa, you will need to use the same passport you’ve provided during the visa application.
Other documents. Further documentation may be necessary depending on your specific circumstances.
At this time, citizens of several countries are not required to obtain a visa to enter South Africa. Nationals from EU member states, the United States, Canada, and Japan are able to travel to the country without a visa for stays of up to 90 days. The list of eligible countries for the South Africa eVisa will be made official once the electronic system is launched.
What documents Do You Need when Traveling with a Child to South Africa?
If you’re traveling with children and will go through customs with minors, you will be asked to provide the following documents to the South African authorities:
- Proof of guardianship or custody.
- A signed letter from the children’s guardian(s) in case you’re not their parents. The letter must clearly state the guardians’ consent and include their contact details.
- Other documents may be required depending on your specific circumstances.

CHRISTO KEMP
Professional Hunter, Outfitter & Director
Christo started to hunt at the tender age of 10 years old on the family farm called Nuwelandskloof and Wilgerfontein in the Jansenville area. This is also where he shot his first ever Kudu bull at the age of 15 years old. After that weekend all he wanted to do was to share the joy of hunting in the best place on earth, the beautiful Eastern Cape. He finished his Professional Hunters courses in 2014 at Northern Cape Professional Hunting School in Vanderkloof. In 2015 he went on his first ever Dangerous Game hunt in Zimbabwe. Since then he has gained experience in Dangerous Game hunts which include Hippo,Elephant and crocodile. His true love will always be the true Impala walk and stalk as he believes that produces the best trophies. Hunting is his way of life, will always be.
Theoriska Jansen Van Vuuren
Hunting Partner, Marketeer & Co - Owner
At the age of 6 she took hold of a 9 mm hand gun to learn how to shoot and the will and love for weapons never went away. Growing up in a farm setting she has been a avid sport shooter and nature lover. Her weekends are filled with clay pigeon shooting comps and wasting ammo. Nature is part of her soul and when ever the chance is there she will be the first person on the back of the bakkie or busy helping to track. When she is in nature her camera never stops clicking.

MARIO SERFONTEIN
Chef
Mario Serfontein also known as the Boesman of C.T. Hunting Safari’s. Like any true South African, hunting was part of my upbringing. From a very young age, the processing and preparation of game was a passion of mine. With no formal education as a chef, I obtained my skills from my Dad and other highly skilled hunters. Most hunters consider a slow-roasted springbok leg to be the best of game dishes. Now my personal favorite is undoubtedly a springbok shoulder slow toasted in a cast iron pot which is then served on fresh rooster bread. A close second is my specialty of homemade boerewors!
