Your trophies

The field preparation and care of our client’s trophies are a TOP priority at C.K Hunting Safaris.

Trophies either have to undergo a Dip & Pack process to be shipped raw and then mounted by your local taxidermist in the USA, or you can have them mounted in South Africa prior to shipping.

Taxidermy Africa is the Taxidermy Company we use.

How the process works at Taxidermy Africa:

Once your hunt is complete, your trophies are personally collected from the game farm.   

Labels/tags and acquisition forms are supplied to your Outfitter.

Should you wish to discuss your trophy requirements, Jeane will personally meet with you (where possible) and answer all your questions in person.

Once your trophies have been collected and checked into the Studio, we shall send you an email to advise you accordingly and request payment.

A 50% deposit is required from our clients before the trophies are put on our chronological mounting list.

Our mounting time is approximately 9 months.

Full payment is required for Dip & Pack trophies and our turnaround time is approximately 3 months from payment received.

Our Clients and their Outfitters are kept regularly informed via email on a monthly basis of the procedures involved at Taxidermy Africa, from the time of collection of the trophies from the game farm, through to their export. We believe in providing an efficient service to the Outfitter as well as to our clients.

We sculpt all our own forms.

Any modification is available.

On completion the client is informed and receives the final payment invoice.

All export crates are custom made on our premises.

We have preferred freight and clearing agents, however the choice remains with the client. Once the trophies near completion, we obtain two or more freight estimates on behalf of the client for comparative purposes.

Freight, insurance and clearing charges are provided by these agents and are not included in our quotation. Freight costs are payable before shipping and payable directly to the Freight Agent. Clearing charges are payable by the client in the country of destination.

All the paperwork involved in the export of trophies is organized by Taxidermy Africa.

We welcome all Clients and Outfitters to visit our studio to experience our work first hand.

We organize the import of trophies from all African countries who allow hunting e.g. Zimbabwe, Botswana, Mozambique, Namibia, Zambia, Tanzania, CAR.
