With our last day of hunting in the Karoo, we decided to go after the Hartman's mountain Zebra. We left the lodge at 06:30 as it was going to be a super hot day and we wanted to be there before it was too warm. Unfortunately we had no luck, so we returned to the lodge at 11:00 for brunch. We decided to leave at 14:00 after stalking a herd for over a hour. We got to a rivine and stopped to see where the Zebras was or to establish if they moved up to the mountain. Unfortunately we had no luck in seeing them, but all of a sudden this old Gemsbuck cow walked towards us with no care. She grazed up to about 50yards from us after watching her. The client asked if he could rather shoot her and leave the Zebra. We agreed and the shooting sticks came out. With the 338 placed on the shoulder, the bullet sent her to her forever home in USA.
